Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
Wow, omg, Monica Rictor is finally, finally christian! It takes all this time to let her become a christian? I cried when she excepted him. She was right, he is the only one in control, not anybody else. in hard times, you learn to trust him. You can't trust you.

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
(same deal as always, but times ten this time) Good, she won't be arrested. Oh no! They're being tracked! Mr. Satyr is going to kill them all, isn't he. GASP! They better get out of there quick. No! Bill, not Bill. I thought he was a nice guy. Of course...ever since he told Hope to back up a little more (nearly giving my mom and me a heart attack) I didn't like him. Lol, when they brag about color TV. Aww...Mya. (I'm I spelling her name right?) I feel so sorry for her. I loved Mya's conversation with Monica. Hmm....that caller is weird. It sounds like a cross between the mystery caller from the first season and the....OH NO!!!! They're attacking them! Oh my word! Where are the "kids". The caller again. Yeah! PRAY! Wait...huh? Oh, you went back a little. Ok. Oh....great time for commercial. (Who's Uncle Charlie?) Just like Mr. Richter. Mya is in trouble, and she turns to God. Bill? BOY YOU HAVE A LOT OF NERVE!! Oh, undercover you say? Good. Be careful. "Thank who?" "Uh...Mister Mincer." Hurry!!! GET OUT!! Yes, they're safe, for the time being. Of course it wasn't a coincidence. Oh, that's right, in the course of one season, she loses her father and husband. Its working? YES! THANK GOD! Yes, his wish did come true. (Getting tears on the keyboard now) I loved what she said to the press. And finally, we hear from the Morrisons. (Except, her whoa was far too small :D) Excellent job John!
I MUST give this episode ∞ out of 5. (that is infinity, by the way) Excellent writing. This episode was absolutely beyond good. There was action, suspense, espionage, and best of all, a lost one coming to Christ.

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
I did not get to hear the broadcast version because HisKids Radio aired last week's episode instead. So, my review is based on the MP3. Another excellent John Fornoff episode!! The intensity and suspense were incredible!! Bill Mincer turned out to be a good guy??!! Whew, what a relief!! I was hoping!! Monica has finally become a believer!! A wonderfully moving moment that I never thought would happen. I'm very glad she did not land back in jail. I loved the scene with Mia outside the motel talking to God about her anger over losing her father. Having been through that myself, I know exactly how she feels. I also enjoyed her scene with Monica outside the motel and in the van (with Caleb) on the trip back to Coleraine. It was wonderful to hear Haley again. I had wondered where Haley went since we have only heard from Hope. 5/5 Way to go John!!!

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
Awesome. It reminds me of a few things. First off, it reminds me of the audio drama that John used to write for called Adventures in Odyssey in that, Eugene Meltsner was also stripped of everything he held dear before he became a christian. God deals with us that way a lot when he needs to get our attention. The way we jump back and forth was a little confusing and reminded me of 9-8 "Shades Of Chartreuse" All in all, a great episode but now we only have 2 more episodes in the season. Something tells me we might get a 2 parter.
5/5 stars

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
This was totally worth waiting a week for. As usual Mr. Fornof does not disappoint...well, I mean that one episode where Tom dies was a different kind of disappointment that had nothing to do with any sort of lack of talent in the writing of the episode. My question for the Richter family in general is this: Why does it always take losing one to three children? Remember Tom's prayer? "God, save my little girl!" And Monica's, "God, bring my kids back to me!" If that is what it takes, then great. The three kids are still alive!!! My favorite kinds of creative writing things are when God is the star character. That totally happened here! Who saved the kids? Who remembered Tom's prayers? Who heard Monica? Who gave a little girl wisdom to know that that five seconds she got to talk to her mom should be "PRAY!"? I give five stars to this episode and about a dozen dozens of stars to Mr. Fornof himself that he can hang on his refrigerator. All platinum stars. And to the star of the show...(GOD!) I give a standing ovation, a dozen dozen roses, a concert at the greatest concert hall, and a BIG HUG!!! Each good character in this last episode gets a free slushy from Taylor's General Store. To Monica specifically I say "YAY!!!!! And, Monica this Daddy will always be there for you. He will teach you the greatest values that you can live your life by!" The best moment of this show was when Monica called God "Daddy" that was the cry-moment for me. To fantastic podcast hosts: I give a smiley face :-) and fifteen tie-dye stars per person for that AMAZING podcast this last week! Thank you!!! We love hearing all of the cool stuff you two talk about! (or we wouldn't be listening)
Monica is saved! Added to the book of life! Next is Tiffany...
Thanks again, friends! Can't wait to hear the accompanying podcast!!!

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
It felt so unreal for Monica to finally give in to God. I knew that that moment was coming, but it still surprised me when she actually did allow her two children to guide her through a prayer of salvation. Caleb and Maya were the perfect people to lead her to God, I thought. Good thing that Tiffany was asleep, though!
3.5/5--An intense episode, with some interesting stuff. But for me it lacked the great dialog that we heard in 12-5, 12-8, and 12-9. I thought that overall "The Journey Home" was a pretty good, but not excellent, show.

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
Rendslo- I love reading your reviews!:)
As always- another great show! It was a bit scary when we find out they were being tracked, and Bill saved them! I'm honestly not sure who's side he's really on, but I'm glad he saved them. I loved how the kids being MIA got Monica to pray. This parallels Tom's acceptance of Christ as well because it was Maya's near death that finally led him to Christ in Season 7. Monica finally accepted Christ- finally! I loved how she made the statement about God being in control and that His truth will win out in the end to the press- she's already sharing her faith! The question remains, what will happen with Tiffany? It was good to hear Maya explaining to Monica that she was upset with God, but that she still trusted Him. 5/5 stars!:)

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
This was a great episode. I love the way both Caleb and Maya witnessed to Monica throughout this episode and the previous one. I felt that Monica would accept Christ this season, but I confess, I thought you would hold out until the very end. I've been reviewing Season 2 and forward where Maya was the first to accept Christ in the Richter family. I don't remember which seasons Caleb and Tom became Christians but I'm sure I'll come to it. I missed Seasons 8 and 9 so maybe it's there. I'm sure you know the San Antonio radio station stopped carrying DGL during the previous hiatus and never picked it up again. I wonder if the local management ever knew you were one of the new writers. I started listening online during Season 10. Season 11 was a great return to the core of DGL. Now I wonder if Season 12 will also end with Tiffany becoming a believer. That would be cool. Then the Richters could move away and have their own series where they are the lead family and then meet a new family that is just like they used to be..................and they both minister to this new family and marvel at how they could have been so blind. Down Richter Lane?

12-10 and last week's podcast...
Okay, first a few thoughts from last week's podcast! What a pleasant surprise! I completely agree that every week is a lot more fun with and does need a podcast!! Loved the humour as always but I thought it was lacking that 'behind-the-scenes' inside look type thing and was more just discussing the lesson and reviews. No, that wasn't me (even though I do agree) who stated that DGL is commended for showing a dating relationship ending in marriage, it was Renddslow. Also, that is sad to know we won't be hearing from the Donnors this season but looking forward to hearing the new voice of Clifford Donnor. And the bloopers returned! Hooray -- always makes my day! :D
Now 'The Journey Home' -- WOW, that was A LOT packed into one show! The change of emotions was drastic from scene to scene with the my heart literally thumping near the middle of the show.
First of all, the beginning was a little weird, as I don't believe we've ever heard a DGL episode begin with a partial repetition of last week's without Zack saying 'previously', although it do flow nicely into the scene with Monica and Caleb. Wonderful to see their continued bonding of mother/son!
I was so sad that Carrie wasn't able to continue to come along for the ride since they were so recently engaged but look forward to hearing more from her next week hopefully!
I want to punch those Satyrnine guys in the face so badly!! It was very insightful though (and I think answered some of our questions) to hear Tiffany and Randy still talking on the phone having a long distance relationship, except this time with Tiffany being the one gone.
I'm really glad that we got to hear more of Maya's personal struggles as she wrestled with God. When Monica entered the room, the conversation was very touching as they could both identify on the same level as missing Tom and allowed for a very important and loving conversation that allowed Maya to continue to witnessing to Monica and water the seeds that the others had most recently planted.
So Bill Mincer really is a good guy deep down I think! Who knows what would have happened if he wouldn't have freed the kids? What a scary voice on the phone though! Sounds very distorted!
And of course the whole story was building to the scene where Monica accepted Christ and it found it very fitting to have William Paulson there to witness it all. What a transformation through such powerful lines and calling God 'daddy'!
I was very glad that we got to see a little of her proclaiming her new found faith immediately to the public through the media. And so true, no matter what happens His truth will come out! A very appropriate ending her a little something from the Morrisons and showing us that the Maya/Haley friendship is still there. I almost cried during Monica's salvation scene and the uniqueness of it but really teared up when Maya did seem so joyful telling Haley that her Mom was a believer!
Well, of course this step was a major thing that had to happen in my mind before the end of the series. It is horrible to think we have only two weeks left and I'm really wondering if Tiffany is going to stay hardened! I do hope to hear more Morrisons, Grace, Carrie and the seeds that Haley planted in Jessica's heart earlier this season. This episode would be really hard to put a rating on but I will say 100 stars!! Excellent writing, acting and production through music! Can't wait for 'Saving Messages' and this week's podcast with the return of the brainstorming call clips! :)

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
OKAY! Talk about a ROLLER-COASTER RIDE of an episode!!! My jaw kept dropping! In the middle of the episode I was thinking, "WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?!?" People trying to run them off the road??? The kids getting KIDNAPPED?!?!/ And then Mr. Mincer? What's up with him? Is he good or bad? It's impossible to tell! First Mr. Satter sends him on a "job" and then he shows up to Monica..I was thinking "uh-oh!"...but then he helps rescue the kids...so....that's good...but..! Ah! He's been back and forth ever since we "met" him! Sometimes he seems bad, but other times he seems like he's really a good guy!
Oh! AND MONICA IS FINALLY A CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow! Finally! After all this time!! It's going to be a little weird getting used to her not being evil anymore though!!..hahah
wow..... and there are only 2 episodes left to get this whole thing wrapped up!?!?!?!?
Great episode though!!!!!!! 857389570896473689730 out of 5 stars! :D:D

Re: 12:10....you know what to do!
This episode made me have a scary dream last night. It was the most terrifying nightmare I've had for a long time. There were those Satyrnine guys all there, and Mr. Mincer, and Mr. Satyr, and a bunch of other guys and then in my dream there was a replay of the scene where they were crashing into the car. I think the voice of the guy on the phone is the creepiest thing I've ever heard. Because of that I don't think I'm going to listen to this episode at night ever again. (In my dream DGL ended, so I know how it'll end =] )
I went to a bunch of motels that were advertising color TV's this summer, and I thought that they were so cheap too. Hearing Maya cry outside the hotel was so sad. The way she missed her dad and was talking about how she wanted him to be there for her in the future, it just made me sad. I like how even though she was sad she was able to witness to Monica and talk about the trust she had in God. That was a nice scene.
Man, that whole conspiracy thing is just too complicated. I don't know if Mr. Mincer is actually good, or if he isn't. It was really weird how on the one phone call the evil guy had a weird voice but when Maya was yelling for Monica to pray it was a normal voice… You should tell us how the sound of his voice was produced on the next podcast.
Monica and Tom became Christians in similar ways. They prayed that God would do something, God did it, and then they believed. Maya was in trouble both times. And then when they got back to normal life they thought that Coleraine was different. It is a very obvious parallel. Monica deserved to lose everything, so I’m really happy that she did. It’s good that she became a Christian. Finally she noticed she wasn’t in control. I saw it coming. No wonder you said that the story came to a close then. DGL was pretty much Morrison’s against Richter’s from the very beginning.
I’m really happy that they’re all under protective watch! Now they can’t get killed. It would be boring for them all to be locked into the same house, but I guess now that Monica’s a Christian it won’t be as bad. Too bad Tom wasn’t alive to see her become a Christian. Then they could almost be a big happy family (except Tiffany… so far).
This was a good episode. I’d give it a solid 5 stars (even though I’d rank it also a 5 on the scary rating, along with 4-11 and 4-12).

It’s Spring Break, and the Morrisons are headed to Washington, D.C. They’re all super excited about the things they’ll get to see and do there—all of them, that is, except Brooke. She thinks it’s selfish of them to go on a fun-filled vacation when other people are giving their week to serve on a mission field.
But wait a minute, Brooke. Aren’t we supposed to be missionaries wherever we go?
Brooke had a change of heart when she and her family have a surprising encounter on the plane to D.C.
