Hello all you fans of Down Gilead Lane! It's nice to see you all! :)
As you may know, a lot of new things have been happening with DGL. We got our recording system up and running (as evidenced in some part by the Valentine's Special hitting the airwaves!) and we're hard at work on Season 10 right now. I'll get to more of that in a few minutes!
Steve and I did record a quick podcast last week and I think his goal is to have it up this week sometime. We did a little review of the Valentine's Special and teased some great things that we have coming up - so keep your eyes open for that to hit the Internet sometime within the next day or two.
Our whole team has been working really hard on season 10 lately. With our recording issues and the problems there, we've had to work and push hard to get things moving, but the writing has been steadily pushing forward. About a week ago, I finished two episodes that I'm really excited about. Honestly, they're two of the hardest scripts I've ever written. A few times I had to get up and take a break from the writing because they were so emotionally powerful, but when I finished them, they'd had a profound impact on me and the way I view Gilead. I really love these episodes and hope that when they do come out, the fans do as well.
This week, in a reverse switch from those episodes, I'm working on a script that has a beloved story from the Bible in it. and is much 'lighter' in content Just talking about it in the brainstorming session last week got everyone excited . Both Mr. Fornof and I wanted to write this episode but I got blessed with it and I'm so excited about it! I can't wait to share it with you! But, as usual, I've got to keep it under wraps or Steve will lock up my keyboard or something - so you'll just have to keep watching for more about it.
A lot of people have been asking about the Spring Musical. We had talked about doing a musical episode (Well, everyone but Steve talked about it) but with the recording problems and equipment malfunctions, we're rushing just to keep up with the normal schedule. Adding all of the production that would be involved in a musical would be nearly impossible for this season so I wouldn't expect it. But this doesn't mean that the idea is over or done with by any stretch of the imagination - just perhaps postponed a bit. (And if this paragraph ends up missing later it's because Steve found out about it and deleted it - so stay vigilant everyone! *grins*)
And that's it from Lori's desk for today - I've got to go run and work on an outline!!
God bless!
-Lori Out.
